Mentoring Program

MAJ offers all members who have been in practice for less than seven years the opportunity to be assigned a mentor - especially, New Lawyers.

New Lawyers face unique challenges transitioning from law student to lawyer and even greater challenges when they first represent a client in the courtroom. The MAJ Mentoring Program is designed to make this transition as seamless as possible. Mentors give new lawyers invaluable resources and practical advice, professional contacts and support to aide and guide them in their careers. 

The mentors that have volunteered to assist the new lawyers in this program are seasoned litigators and enjoy excellent reputations in the legal community. Each mentee is matched with a mentor that shares their interests in particular practice areas. The mentors are prepared to allow the mentees to shadow them in court, answer questions, and generally make themselves available to the mentee.
